“You what?”
“I know. I should’ve told you. I just—” He ran a hand through his hair. “I wanted to find him. Or someone. Anyone who could explain why he left.”
That part hurt more than anything.
Not because he searched.
Because he had to.
“Did you find him?” I asked quietly.
“No.”
I nodded once.
“Then what happened?”
He pushed his phone toward me.
“I found his sister.”
I blinked. “Andrew didn’t have a sister.”
“Mom.”
I exhaled slowly. “Okay… he did. But I never met her. Gwen. He barely talked about her.”
